I was born in Los Angeles and studied at Hampshire College and New York University. I have generally eclectic interests, foremost among them writing (with the exception of writing short biographies) and technology. I’m the author of a novel, The Kingdom of Ohio which was an Indy Next List featured pick and an NPR Summer Reads selection. I’m also an enthusiastic and passably good cook, a lover of gardens, and an occasional programmer. I’m currently Director of Software Development at Temboo, where we make next-generation tools for connecting apps with the cloud. I live in Portland, Oregon with my wife, daughter, and an overweight Welsh corgi.
